Some news about the new album. 29 July 2008  Tellé will release on August 18
'Opplett', a compilation disc put together by Mikal Tellé
and Erlend, containing seven tracks from seven up-and-coming underground
bands from Bergen, Kommode with their song 'Houses For Birds' being
one of them. You can buy it here.
25 June 2008 As a replacement for the concert at the cancelled Quart Festival: Skåtøy Kirke Sunday 6 July at 7 p.m., 250 kr. Ferry from Kragerø, tickets at the door and at Skåtøy Kafé. 4 June 2008 KoC will play at Flow Festival in Helsinki on August 15 and in Moscow on August 17 (venue tba). 30 May 2008 KoC will perform at Cool Jazz Fest in Lisbon on July 24. 26 May 2008 Kommode uploaded a new song called 'Houses For Birds' on their myspace. You can listen to it here. 21 May 2008 The concert in Stockholm at Nalen has been rescheduled on August 13. 23 April 2008 Concerts at Popadelica Festival and at Nalen in Stockholm have been cancelled, because Erlend broke his right arm after falling during a running competition. He had surgery and all went fine. I wish him a speedy recovery. 15 April 2008 Erlend announced during the last concert in Seoul that KoC will start recording the new album today in Korea (thanks So Jung for the tip!). Another gig in Norway: July 4th at Kulturhus in Sandnes. 12 April 2008 Rumours of new album to be released in September 2008. Update: next CD is WBA, but a new one from KoC within this year, so they say. 7 April 2008 KoC will perform at Quart Festival on July 5 and at Trænafestivalen on July 12. 3 April 2008 KoC have added another gig in Korea in Hongdae, April 13 at Rolling Hall (thanks So Jung for the tip!). 2 April 2008 KoC will play at Jazzaldia Festival in San Sebastián (Spain) on July 26 (free entry). 1 April 2008 KoC concert in Stockholm at Nalen on May 4 will be filmed for a DVD to be released later this year. You can choose the song you want absolutely have on this live DVD with this topic in the official forum (until April 15). The 5 most voted songs will be in the setlist. Update: April Fools! 13 March 2008 KoC will perform in Seoul twice, April 11th and 12th at the Centennial Memorial Hall of Yonsei University. 11 March 2008 WBA next single is 'Golden Cage' out on March 17th and backed with a remix by Fred Falke that you can listen here. 8 March 2008 I've found out another song recorded by Peachfuzz, Erlend's old group. It's called *23* and you can download it here. 7 March 2008 Rubies album 'Explode From The Center' featuring Eirik and Kommode will be released in Europe and Australia on March 10. You can preorder it on the Tellé Records and Hybris online stores. 4 March 2008 Another KoC gig in Sweden: May 4th at Nalen in Stockholm. 28 February 2008 Some KoC news from their myspace: "after some small tours in norway during the autumn/winter, we´re getting pretty confident about 9 of the new songs. but still nothing recorded and ready to go, mostly because we are not sure about HOW to record it. i have seen "news" of our new record coming out in april. this is not based in reality. it seems also we are no longer with EMI records. but life is good. the rain only lasts for an hours or so here in bergen, then we can walk around in and breathe the fresh air and figure out something useful to spend the day doing. xxxxxxxxx. looking forward to play korea in april, sweden in may and portugal in july.xxxxxxxxxxxx." 27 February 2008 KoC will play at Casa da Música in Porto (Portugal) on July 22nd. 14 February 2008 WBA will perform live 'Golden Cage' at BBC 2 The Culture Show on February 16th. 8 February 2008 KoC will play at Popadelica Festival in Huskvarna (Sweden) on May 3rd. 27 January 2008 Listen to 'Agent', a new Kommode song up on their myspace. 25 January 2008 Haunch
