Erlend is on 'Seasonal
Greetings - A Compilation of 13 Christmas and Winter Songs' out on
November, 25 with the Wham! cover 'Last Christmas' (an acoustic version
that he recorded in his apartment in Berlin).

'Unrest', Erlend's solo
album will be out on February, 10th and the video to the first single,
'A Sudden Rush' will be directed by Jarvis Cocker from Pulp. Don't forget to check out

Contrary to the mp3s that circulate, 'A While Ago and Recently' is not
with Timo Maas, but with the artists formally known as Op:l Bastards.
The first single from 'Unrest' should be 'A Sudden Rush' out in January
2003. Meanwhile there are 12" promos of 'Ghost Trains' and 'Symptom of
Disease'.

(thanks to Scott O'Riorden).
Jolly Music releases today the vinyl-only single 'Talco Uno' feat.
Erlend on vocals and lyrics. The song will be also on their album
'Jolly Bar' (due out October, 21st).

Erlend's solo album 'Unrest'
due out on October, 15th has been postponed to 23 March 2003. An

August, 28th KoC will hold an exclusive gig at Den Nationale Scene in
Bergen, the oldest theatre in Norway and for the first time opened to a
pop concert. In order to get one of the 400 free tickets one has to be
a first year student at the University of Bergen and to attend one of
two special evenings at the Den Nationale Scene with both lectures and
extracts from the plays the theatre is staging this autumn. Read more here.

Last Saturday KoC were at Meco Dance Festival in Portugal for a very
appreciated gig featuring the unreleased song 'Everyone has got a
friend in Stockholm' and a cover of 'Garota de Ipanema' sung by Eirik
in a perfect Portuguese. Later Erlend made a DJ set with other artists

Welcome to my little site dedicated to the Kings of Convenience.
I collected all the material I could find about them.

As for the news: Erlend is currently working on his solo project which
will consist of ten songs from ten cities. Each track is worked out in
close collaboration with local musicians. As far as I know he worked
with Sneaker Pimps, Röyksopp, the Italian duo Jolly Music, the Finnish Mr Velcro Fastener, the
Japanese Cornelius, the
Swedish Kompis and German Schneider
TM.
He has also contributed a track, No Train to Stockholm, to 'Total
Lee!', a Lee Hazelwood tribute album released by City Slang and due out 3
June 2002.
